"BASICS" OF BASIC SCENE ASSESSMENT
NREMT 1 Hour Category: Trauma / Operations Remember (one of) the Golden Rules: "The first pulse you should check on scene is yours". This lecture reviews the principles of systematic scene & patient assessment, demonstrates how your eyes & gut lead to developing assessment and management strategies, and encourages having a fun time mastering a serious topic.

This lecture was prepared as a back-up, and although not given at the conference, is a favorite of mine. Have you gotten your stork pin yet? Well, this lecture reviews reproductive anatomy, evaluation & management of OB emergencies & non-emergencies, prehospital delivery and neonatal resuscitation. Take a deep breath, don't panic, and help mother nature along in delivering a true gift of life.

MANAGEMENT OF THE PREGNANT TRAUMA PATIENT
NREMT 1 Hour Category: Medical Special Populations - OBGYN, Pediatrics; Cardiovascular / Resuscitation The challenge of assessing and managing not one, but two patients in one body is incredibly stressful. This lecture provides you the knowledge to confidently manage pregnant patient with minor to major trauma including critical strategies to improve survival of both vulnerable patients.
